Island singer/songwriter Yitzy, still on the heels of his new EP Island Time, is back with a new banger. The single, another in a series of upbeat jams from the Montréal musician, puts his band in the spotlight. Yitzy & his quartet, The Bits, borrow as much from Vulfpeck as they do from fellow Canadians Bahamas & Jason Collett, with picky guitars and pedal steel layered over banging turnarounds and sing-in-the-shower choruses. Recorded in a whirlwind session before a show at Ottawa’s famed Bar Robo, the song is out just in time for Beach Party! — a soirée they’re throwing for the 2nd time at Casa Del Popolo.
